I want to introduce a very special member of the Hitched in the Hood team. She’s been with us through the entire 2013 wedding season and she totally rocks! She’s a crafty genius and brings so many great ideas to the team. She’s planning her own wedding this year and will be taking us through her process on the blog over the next several months. We are excited she will be joining us for the full season again next year and will be the lead day-of wedding planner (even though we are only offering full-service next year – day-of is still the most important day of all!).
“These are a few of my favorites things” – Fall, the first snow, fresh flowers, pretty office supplies, going on walks, time with my sister, smoky red wine, pretty packaging, painting on wood, yoga, handmade gifts, organizing, grace and modesty, the local farm stand, being at the river, new hiking trails, family/my parents, favorite candles and paper goods
My name is Sara and I am so excited to be working with Hitched in the Hood for the second year in a row! I learned a ton last year and I am looking forward to making our couples’ wedding dreams come true. Last year I realized how valuable hiring a coordinator is – it is a privilege to let family and friends be able to spend time and enjoy the day with the bride and groom knowing that we are there managing everything – down to the last detail.
I love anything that is hand made. I love the pretty! I love when couples’ personal elements or décor are sprinkled throughout their wedding (When the guests’ say “That is sooo them”- it’s the best!). I am obsessed with all things country, rustic and outdoorsy. I can usually be found in my craft room engulfed in one (of many!) of my current projects. I love to paint, sew, craft and can make just about anything your wedding heart desires.
I myself am in the midst of planning our own wedding next October! I am marrying an amazing man I have been with for three years. I have the honor of taking on his two awesome little girls as my own. The girls often find inspirations for “our wedding”- they call it (love it!). We have a date, gorgeous venue (with a barn- swoon!) and an incredible photographer booked so far. I look forward to blogging more about our process. As a family we love to be outside, doing something new together, or playing one of our favorite games.
I am excited to get to know you as a couple and coordinate your wedding day!
This sexy couple is Sara and her fiancé Cory – they were recently models for a photoshoot for an upcoming spread in the Gorge Magazine Wedding Guide. Consider this your “sneak peek” and make sure to check it out. It’s coming out at the end of November!
